Shopping...

Taken at Toul Tompoung, Phnom Penh, Cambodia - a local market full of crowds during weekends... There's only one source for lighting, but I thought I could make use of the colour of her blouse. Without tripod, I captured her.

Great photograph. I find it mvery mysterious. Great light. I amm sure you had to pick the righ moment since the light in that shot is only in certain spots. Great moment.

I agree that it is the lighting that makes this photo. While she seems to be well lit and the rest are in the dark, the limited lighting gives it that cloud of mystery... but in any event, we know that she is in a market place shopping, so no big mystery. I like the photo for the strong element of lighting.

Snake, I think you have a great lit shot if that was you intent in taking the woman at just that time, but for a casual observer, I feel the shot being this dark seemed to keep me from seeing as much as I would like to see, so I could better understand the story you are telling with this picture. Shot is very clear focus and depth of field is good, makes it seem you wanted it this way. Good job either way. Fred

Good try Snake, (is that your real name?). Lady stand out nice from the rest. I do think it is a little to dark to compliment the rest. I also noticed you found yourself a ps. Great, cant wait to see more pic. from your side of the world. Anne-Marie

Nice composition, you have people on either side, but not crossing the plane of her existence. I would prefer to see it brighter, but then the exposure on the shirt may be too bright. Nice peek at the lifestyle at the market :)croc
