The Original of Identical Beige

Hi, all. This is the original of my last submission - Identical Beige.
As you can you see I've cropped a lot in order to bring that beige creature closer. How do you find this original one?
The only lense I've is 18-70mm, therefore this is the closer I could get. What do you reckon?
Pls kindly advise if you would do it another way? TQ! ^__^

Identical Beige

Saw this guy when I was snapping some flowers. I cropped the original copy a lot(but no touch-up), as this is a tiny fellow, & I only have 18-70mm with me. >__<
Will show the original copy tomorrow.
Just to share with you... ^__^

Taking off...

I went to this place for fishing, but then I saw this "companion" alone there. Like other animals I've encountered in this country, some are so "well-protected" in cage, some so carefree. As this one, I can see there're some damage to the feather & might have been abused by some playful kids/lads...

The Original of Gentle Purple

Hi, guys. Here comes the original of my previous posting - Gentle Purple. ^__^
Hope you like it.

Setting : pls refer to last posting.
Lense used : 18-70mm
Time taken : 10:58am

This is the raw file, no editing. Pls kindly tell me how you think on the following :
1. Should I straighten the flower itself?
2. Which one you prefer? Original? Or after editing? Or maybe you can show me how you would do it, then email to : SnakeAries@hotmail.com
3. As you can see there're tad defeats on the patals, would you leave it be? Or crop it as I did on previous posting?
Looking forward to hear from you. TQ!

Touch up :
1. Cropped closely with Picasa2(due to the tricky angle restricted & there're some defects at the surface. So I decided to try a real closely crop to see the results)
2. Sharpen once with Picasa2(To make the subject more appealing.)

The Clams

This is how the local people sell & buy the clams... a very popular snack.
I'm kinda addicted, as I really couldn't resist the sweetness & juicy flesh.
Some they have the clams in 2 different favours(spicy or non-spicy) which separated with a wooden stick in the middle. *winks*

Self-worship & self-display are what this guy was doing... But I've to admit I was truely impressed by the colours he showed off. @__@

Now you don't! ^__^

^__^ What do you expect? hee...hee...hee... Only dirty hand with empty clam shell left of course.

Yup, You bet. I've tested it, & still alive. *LOL* No vomit, no diarrhea after 7days & 3hrs. hmm... the taste is complicated, salty & spicy come first, then sweet & juicy. You want some? *winks*

Took both pitures with my right hand only, as left hand busy with food. *winks* The toktok driver taught me to open the shell using left hand & teeth. COOL, isn't it?! He said I'm becoming like one of them. *LOL*

Now you see... (to be cont')

Another local snack. They placed these clams evenly on a wooden board, spread some pepper, salt & dried chili on top, then expose under the hot sunny sun to be "cooked", no boiling water nor oven needed.

Cockfighting

This activity just took place nearby where I captured the little girl enjoyed bathing on the raod under the sun. I'm always amazed by how the locals enjoy their life, everything seems so nature, so easy & so simple to them.

Just a tiny space along the street, they can gather impressive crowds for any kinda activities - playing badminton, cockfighting, kicking shuttlecock, gambling or simply sitting there chit chating... while I was worried they might be knock down by the passing cars... >__<

This cockfighting is actually very ruthless. There're bloodstain on the road while I was taking the pictures, therefore I didn't stay till the end, & I can't tell you which one won. I snapped couple of them, then I quickly jump up the toktok & ran away. Just couldn't bear to see the rest...

Purple or Blue?

Haven't bought the Macro lense, but would like to try some shooting on flower... & I found this unknown flower nearby a village about 45mins drive from Phnom Penh airport. Would appreciate if any of you could tell me the name of this flower. TQ!

Practice makes Perfect???!!!

At Shooting Range, a very popular place where attracts many visitors to test their "skills". $30 for 30bullets on AK47, $12 for 10bullets on a handgun. There're machine guns available too.

The place simply making me sick, I hate the noise, I hate the smells, & most of all -- After practising on the "paper target", there's another corner for you to test your "skills" on those flying poor creatures... At the end, you'll be given your "results" as a token to bring home. x__x

The final capture.

Family Business

I don't know what to write with this one, as I can see nothing "precious" in the cart. But look at the effort they put in to load it to that tiny boat, I guess they do find something worth to bring home for the day...

Their dedication ease the anger & stress I built from work, I learn to appreciate what I have & own...

Enjoying treat together...

A very common snack you may find anywhere in Phnom Penh.
They preserved fruits like mango, guava or even tomato with chili, salt, sugar & pepper. Well, yes. I tried it, tastes really funny. >__<
But look at this one, surprisingly it attracted both bee & fly. That's really weird!

What happened to your head?

My very first attempt in capturing photo of birds.

I was standing in front of this cage nearly one hour to get the right snap.
This cage is actually huge with about 30 birds of the kind inside. I had my eye on this talkative one, as it's such a performer to me, then the other one just joined & as if hiding its ears together with the head from the noise. *winks*

Making a living

Collecting unwanted cans & cartons along the streets, then sell "collection" to be recycled. Though the income is slender, to me, they're greater than those earning huge while abusing our environment...

One afternoon... by Mekong River

This gentleman certainly knows how to relax on a Sunday afternoon... I enjoy going out alone on a Sunday too. I fancy those activities which one can do it alone. *winks*
I don't mind mingle with the crew, but I do enjoy the private time myself. ^__^

Red-faced kite

This kite caught my attention with its red-faced & long black beard, these are the characteristic appearance of Guan Gong -- a very famous red-faced hero worship by some Chinese people. He's known as loyal & righteous.

Red vs Gold

Took this picture outside a pagoda. I had the body of "local dragon" (the protector they believe in, it's a dragon with 5 snake-like heads.) to separate 2 different structures(the pagoda itself & the parapet). Hope you like the way they do colouring...
