A peacock in his pride

Self-worship & self-display are what this guy was doing... But I've to admit I was truely impressed by the colours he showed off. @__@

Ariel, I see what you mean, and we are at opposite ends of the earth. I find it interesting how these birds have different coloring. The neck of this one has a totally different type of feather than I have seen on a peacock.

BAM! The dizzying effect is highlighted by the detail of the peacock head and his top hat. By using different angles, it brings out the peacocks color which you have demonstrated well.

This is very impressive. Great capture of details and the wonderful colors. The shallow DOF effectively sets the head from the rest of the tail. I like the way you took this photograph. -Jon

Oh peacocks are great subject to photograph! Kudos to you for the well done picture. Nice colors and sharpness. I like how you consentrated on the left part and the rest blured out, making his head stand out. Great capture!

Hi SnakeAries, I have to agree with all of the others. It is an awesome capture. Were you there when he ruffeled up his feahers like that. I have some pictures of a peacock like this but not cropped in so tight & the way the get there feathers to ruffle up was amazing. Great job. Thank you for sharing.. Susan
