The Original of Identical Beige

Hi, all. This is the original of my last submission - Identical Beige.
As you can you see I've cropped a lot in order to bring that beige creature closer. How do you find this original one?
The only lense I've is 18-70mm, therefore this is the closer I could get. What do you reckon?
Pls kindly advise if you would do it another way? TQ! ^__^

Saw this guy when I was snapping some flowers. I cropped the original copy a lot(but no touch-up), as this is a tiny fellow, & I only have 18-70mm with me. >__<

1. Should I straighten the flower itself?

3. As you can see there're tad defeats on the patals, would you leave it be? Or crop it as I did on previous posting?

Touch up :
1. Cropped closely with Picasa2(due to the tricky angle restricted & there're some defects at the surface. So I decided to try a real closely crop to see the results)
2. Sharpen once with Picasa2(To make the subject more appealing.)

Purple or Blue?

Haven't bought the Macro lense, but would like to try some shooting on flower... & I found this unknown flower nearby a village about 45mins drive from Phnom Penh airport. Would appreciate if any of you could tell me the name of this flower. TQ!
