Ariel, This is a very beautiful subject! I am not sure but I think it is just too dark or maybe the sun is not hitting it the right way. Take some more of this flower but at different times of the day and from different angles. I love it though!!!!

Ariel, another beautiful capture, The petals are just popping out and they are bursting with brilliant colors. This is so nice detailed and the fous and clarity are great! Keep it up ^__* A.

Ariel--you have quite the collection of outstanding flower photos! I can assure you I'm no expert at the craft, however, harsh direct light is difficult to work with when photographing most any subject. I might suggest using a diffuser (white or silver) holding it between the flower and the sunlight. It will, of course, diffuse the light, which usually allows for much better lighting control. I'm enjoying your work---this one included! Thanks for posting them. Randy

I agree Ariel. The lighting is quite harsh. A cloudy day would be your friend on this shot. The detail is great, your framing right on, color contrast against b/g is really good. - Scooter -

Lighting, contrast, and color...everyone has their own opinion. Using photoshop, changing colors, what is real and how you want to portray something. Crispy Pink, that what the title is and that is how it appears, alittle bit of hot oil, deep fried in the sun, centered and in focus, keep up the good work
