Ariel, this is different. I don't know if b&w is a good choice here. I assume the leaves are brown since they have fallen an wonder if this feather had color that would have worked. I do like the rotation at the top of the feather to provide the topside. I think that moving around to the right of the feather might have provided more attractive detail.
hi there...I like the interesting subject. The B&W is good, but how would it look if you kept the background in B&W and added the color back to the feather, I'm not sure if the B&W gives as much attention to the feather as it deserves..just a suggestion...thanks for the interesting image. even the little things make good subjects.. It's all about the contrast and texture with black and white that you have presented here. You have the feather in whole, the flair of the feather gives some vision, but I want it all, lol, thanks for sharing, croc
The spots and ends of the feather remind me of a peacock, but it's not long enough. I've also seen some roosters with the spots. How about a downy woodpecker? Okay I give. What is it? As far as the photo, interesting choice, b/w. I agree, if you left the bg b/w but kept the feather color it would really stand out. You have good clarity here. Thank you for sharing. Dianne
Ariel, after days of contemplation I have not got a clue. B/W is different it probably hides your secret but I really miss the color on this shot. Please think about posting in color. Great focus and dof on the feather and the leaves. Fred
Ariel, I think I like the color version of this shot more. This is interesting, but it looses it variety with bw, the feather kind of blends into the background...maybe some contrast adjustment would help. Charlene
