~ Simply a bridge ~

This type of wooden bridge always reminds me of home. But the truth is I've never lived nearby a bridge of same sort since I born... Then one day when I followed mom to her hometown, I saw this huge wooden bridge, which I think it's always in my mom's mind & from her it's "printed" to mine...

This one was taken in a fishing spot about an hour drive from Phnom Penh city. Though much smaller than the one in my mom's hometown, it's very homely to me. I think I'm homesick. ~~~>__<~~~

Ariel!. This is a great texture and form image. Just made for black and white. However, I feel the cropping is a bit tight toward the top of the image. If this is not the origional, re crop it to give more space above the bridge. (if possible to do that.) Otherwise, well done. Cheers. Karl.

I always enjoy looking at the photos you send, I see different things and learn about the cultures that you have there, this is a nice shot, I have to agree the crop above is a tad to tight, the b/w makes this one looks great, is it made from bamboo? keep up the good work and thank you for sharing

I appreciate your comments as much as the photo! I like the lighting and contrast---especially the shadow of the railing. I believe I might have framed this one as portriat view to include more of the pathway to and from the bridge---you might loose some of the water--depends on the lens. I'm enjoying your bridge---reminds me of many I've explored! Thanks for posting! Randy

I love the image, perhaps it would have been better in portrait mode, but then you would have lost the water, so maybe this is better. the b/w works very well here. I love all the different photo's you produce, I learn a lot from them.

Lovely photo, great choice for a B&W. I didn't really take a look at the other review so sorry if I repeat certain things. I think you have a great photo here. Maybe a portrait shot would of allowed more room at the top as it seems a tad tight here on the upper section. Great clarity, focus and dof are great. So like i said, my main comment is just how it was shot, I think a portrait photo would of giving this more power, more lenght

Any thing but simply a bridge. Great choice of neutrals here. Yes, I agree that a bit more on the top would have worked and that portrait mode would have added to the path you follow after crossing the bridge. After all, a bridge is an object to join two paths. Good work. - Scooter -

I've been sleeping at the wheel here in Connecticut. You have the symmetry going with many layers of grey. Has an old feel to it of memories of days past. You are on the right track, open yourself more, that is open up the frame to show how wide the bridge is, or turn it up and down to show how long. Man hours, strength, support, good job, croc

I want to compliment you for this beautiful image in Black and white. I find it´s a well done decision to show it in monochrome ad the true feeling of depth works very well.
