I like the idea behind this, but it really is a very dark photo, which is a shame, as I am sure that they would look awsome lit up and at the right time. Keep shooting.

I totally agree with the previous review, a little too dark as this seems to have some great details which are hard to see here. A remote flash might help out here but I know not everyone has one of those kicking around, I know I don't, wish I did.
Cheers

This seems to be really intresting, but I have to agree with the other viewers it is too dark, I can't tell enough about it as I would like to be able too see more of this.

This photo does not really excite me. It is hard to tell what it is and it does not really evoke any curiousity or any other emotion in me.

To lighten up without losing the contrast of the light from the lamp, try using ISO 400 or 800 first and look at the difference. Then you can use a low F and a longer exposure time, like 8 sec with a tripod to even brighten it up more. Keep trying ;)

Okay, without the title, wouldn't have known these were coconuts. However, the formation of shape, the lighting, and the lack of background work really nicely together. I like the fact that there are shapes and colours in the background, they help bring this to life. In my opinion, more light here would have killed a really good composition. Nice one.

He Ariel, I like the subtle colors of the coconut blending in with the background. Agree that it is a tad to dark. I appreciate you bringing us to your culture with different subjects thats available to you. Keep them coming. Anne-marie
