Red-faced kite

This kite caught my attention with its red-faced & long black beard, these are the characteristic appearance of Guan Gong -- a very famous red-faced hero worship by some Chinese people. He's known as loyal & righteous.

You've got the kite perfectly framed and you've got a brilliant contrast with the drab buildings in the background.

Thanks, Hal.
I'm glad you like it. What about the sky? Some said it's a bit washed out. I'm confused, I dunno what to do with it.
But I was really attracted to the redish face.

You have captured the colours in this kite very well and your focus is crisp & clear. How fast a shutter speed did you use here to freeze the action, as it is perfect? The only thing that bothers me here is the washed out sky, and I am wondering if a polarizer may have helped here. I know this tells a story & the colour is essential to it but I can't help thinking this would make a great subject for BW. Nice shot with an interesting & unique subject.

Your focus and color in this is exceptional but I have to agree with Marion, the sky is washed out
and there is some distractions in the background...nice job on the kite...Celia

The shot is in focus and centered. The kite is not high flying, but low to the ground. I imagine kites to be high flying in the blue sky. Nice contrast and colors against the buildings. Be careful not to clip the tip :)croc
