The Original of Gentle Purple
Hi, guys. Here comes the original of my previous posting - Gentle Purple. ^__^
Hope you like it.
Setting : pls refer to last posting.
Lense used : 18-70mm
Time taken : 10:58am
This is the raw file, no editing. Pls kindly tell me how you think on the following :
1. Should I straighten the flower itself?
2. Which one you prefer? Original? Or after editing? Or maybe you can show me how you would do it, then email to : SnakeAries@hotmail.com
3. As you can see there're tad defeats on the patals, would you leave it be? Or crop it as I did on previous posting?
Looking forward to hear from you. TQ!

Ariel, I really like this. I understand why you posted the other version. The texture of this invites you to bring in. I do think your compostition in this shot allows the entire personna of the flower to be felt. Fantastic detail, great dof, terrific contrast of color. Thank you very much!!! - Scooter -

Oh,.. What a beauty you have captured here! I love how it shows the velvety petals. Incredible nice clarity and DOF. I know you don't have a Macro but I think it would not have been better with that. I love it, great job! I would say, another POD

Ariel, this is a beauty. Definitely a keeper IMO. This is perfect the way it is, the way you captured it, the shallow DOF, the colors and the whole flower is showing. This one is my pick over the other. Nicely done. Jon

Your focus is great. I would not straighten the flower which then would give it an un-natural look. The colors are soft. A very beautiful capture. - Judith

Very nice photo, I love the texture you achieved on this photo, by what I mean, seeing the texture of this plant/flower. Great details, great colors, well framed, blurred BG, all in all, a great photo, well done

Hi Ariel, it's great how you got out the tiny-winy details, possibly water drops of the petals of this bluebell. You really can feel and smell this flower. You are a master of detail.
Thanks for sharing and I hope your break is short and you will present your photos here soon again.:)

Im not a fan of flower shots but This is about as Tec. perfect as it gets. I would not change a thing, the flaw in the pedal looks like a hand to me, it even has five fingers. I dont know flowers, mabe this is how this one grows.
The only distaction that I see is on the top right pedal on the right edge, some thing that should be photoshoped out in my opion. But truely a great job!

Hi SnakeAries, I love you Flower shot. I would leave it. That is why I like to take flower & Nature pictures is because they don't mind if a pedal is messed up a little & they are so beautiful. I have played around with straightening 2 of my pictures in ps & let the background color be like a frame. I havent put on on this site yet but thinking about it. It is defantly different. But Touch up the little spot in rght corner & leave it. { my Opinion} Thank you for sharing... Susan

Hi Ariel, Both have points that I like. I like the green surrounding the flower in this photo, it makes the flower stand out more. I like the DOF. Michelle
